dOG training that works

At Northwood Animal Hospital our training philosophy is simple: To help our clients build a healthy, positive, fun and mutually cooperative relationship with their dog. All of our training programs are designed using positive motivational techniques, clear communication, and respect for both the pet and the guardian.

We believe and promote the position statements developed by the American Veterinary Society of Animal Behavior (AVSAB) which recommends that training should focus on reinforcing desired behaviors with reward-based training methods to motivate them rather than focus on using fear or pain to punish for undesirable behaviors.

Boot Camps: (Follow all DDC requirements w/ some exceptions may apply)

Socialization mainly with NAH Trainer and some with other pets

1-day Boot Camp: $50

3-day Boot Camp: $135

5-day Boot Camp: $200

10-day Boot Camp: $350

 ·   Pet comes in for the day for training and socialization (Drop off by 9:00 AM and pick up after 4:00 PM). At release, there will be a 15 minute one-on-one session with the pet owner and pet. During this time, we will talk about tasks to do at home to continue progress.

  •      Owners can pick up to three commands/trick/tasks for their dog to work on while here for boot camp. Listed below are some commands to choose from (we can always implement your own as well):
